1 year later

This Saturday July 27th will be exactly 1 year since we moved into the House!  I can't believe how fast this year has gone by, so much has happened.

Quick update from the weekend!

I went to a cousins birthday party over the weekend and I was able to get some more practice with my new camera.  I had also had another cousin ask if I could snap some photos for her and her fiance's save the date's, I agreed and have to admit I was soo excited and honestly didnt know why she had chosen ME, but I felt honored!

Here are some of the photos I snapped this weekend! I am impressed at my skills so far.  I still have LOTS to learn.

Long time passion

Hello Everyone!

So it has been a while since I posted.  We have been busy attending weddings, having house guests and enjoying our summer! 

I have not been doing any projects around the house lately due to there not being enough time when I get home from work, and on the weekends.  So I thought I would post about something a little different then my other posts. 

I have always had a passion for photography.  I am that girl that always has her cell phone out, snapping away at every sunset, flower, wedding, party etc.  I also enjoy editing my photos, and all this time I have been doing this all on my cell phone.  I felt limited and wanted to go above and beyond what I was used to.  Everyone would tell me, "oh Kristina you have an eye for photography", or "wow, that photo is amazing", of course it made me feel good and only made me want a DSLR camera even more.

SO I decided to just go for it and buy myself a Canon Rebel T3i.   I AM IN LOVE!  I have only had it a few days now and by no means am I anywheres near understanding it, but the photos I have taken on it are awesome and I cant wait to learn more!

If anyone has any suggestions as to where I can get some free software for photo editing that is like Photoshop that would be very helpful!! Also, suggestions for my photography skills and tips/tricks would be great too!
